V8 goes East - 15
This report from Gordon Hesketh-Jones is from France after spending a weekend at Erlangen with fellow V8 enthusiasts, Allan & Eva Doyle. (30.5.05)

One of the problems of travelling at our speed is that the countries get blurred together. Currently we are at the La Grange de Condè Hotel some 25 miles inside France and yet I have not finished writing about Prague or even started on Germany. This is a 4 star luxury hotel set in rolling countryside with a Michelin star restaurant. If this sounds as if we are eating our way around Europe - maybe you are right and I will repent when I see the bathroom scales at home. At least, compared to the internet cafès I have been using, this is a brand-new HP computer with a lovely keyboard but I really miss spell-check and my personal dictionary)

Anyway I am being nagged by my navigator to hit the road past Paris but at least I am in a good mood having seen the word "NON" in great big capital letters on the front page of all of the local newspapers following the French EU vote!
