Clear signs the market is warming up even if the April weather is unseasonably cold
Over the last few weeks a number of the MGV8s advertised for sale on the V8 website have been sold - and some quite rapidly too! The flow of MGV8s and RV8s for Sale on the V8 website is good and the site has become the leading place to advertise a car or find one.

Jay Janiga reluctantly put his RV8 Woodcote Green 1632 on the RV8s for Sale webpage on 11th April 2008 as he is moving to the US and could not take his much loved RV8 with him. His email on Saturday 19th April reported a very rapid sale.

Well, I'm happy/sad to tell you that my car has sold! Actually, it was sold in two days, and the new owner flew down from Scotland today to pick it up. I let him know all about the V8 Register, and encouraged him to join, so you may see Woodcote 1632 again, hopefully! Thanks for doing such a splendid job with the advert, this was an incredibly easy and pleasant transaction. Once we are settled in the U.S., you'll be hearing from me again. All the best - you do a fine job!

Nigel Ricardo reported his MGBGTV8 sold on 16th April 2008 after several months on the V8 website through the winter months - at no extra charge!

Please remove my advert from the site - fourth one from the top. I am pleased to say it has sold to someone in Romania!!!!! The cleared funds are in my bank and he is collecting the car from me next week. I must admit I thought it was a scam when he contacted me , but it has all turned out well. Many thanks for the advertising and I sold it through the V8 website.

Harry Edison noted in a letter to that he had a response to his advert almost "within minutes" put his RV8 Woodcote Green 1687 on the website on 6th April 2008.

Many thanks for placing my advert on the website and for the photo which is fine. I am pleased to say I had a response within minutes (almost). A telephone call from Scotland on Monday afternoon. I thought it was truly a long-shot, but the guy has now phoned to say he is sending in the AA for an inspection report, so he must be serious. I had a Factory MGBGTV8 for about 10 years in the 80s and 90s and much prefered that to the RV8.

Tracy Verga telephoned to say his Factory MGBGTV8 Harvest Gold 0829 had been sold to an MG enthusiast in Somerset, Trevor Jones, who promply registered the car online with the V8 Registrar. Tracy's car had been on the V8 website for some time but he wanted the car to go to a good home.

So if you thinking of selling your MGV8 or looking for one, the V8 website is the place to look
You can place the advert very easily using the online service and usually the advert is posted to the V8 website with a matter of hours. Why wait for the monthly copy dates with commercial magazines - go live with your advert rapidly and you get more than one month too! Yes we belive MGV8s sell well on the V8 website so you have can have up to six months for your advertising fee! Now that's a deal the magazines find difficult to match.
