            lightweight Sebring Evocation
            - SOLD in 8 days A passion
project that started as a 1978 MGBGT and was extensively and methodically
converted to the car it is today as a retirement project by a professional
automotive engineer. It's a formidable sounding and running machine
and a fantastic car for any equally passionate owner. It could also
easily be modified to suit the new owner's taste if so desired. Hoyle

carburettor. The car was VOSA inspected on completion and MOT'd immediately
afterwards. It is now time for a new owner and offers a unique prospect
for the purchaser of the car.

          | | For
sale 1973 MGBGTV8 (NRL 555M) Purchased at the beginning of Covid 19. Much time, effort and expense
spent on a significant mechanical refurbishment. Original engine rebuilt
by V8 specialists Powers Performance. New liners installed to the
original block and high compression pistons along with later HRC2479
10 bolt cylinder heads. Rope seal replaced with a lip seal. Higher
flow oil pump kit. Refurbished intake manifold with new internal pipe.
Gearbox and overdrive fully refurbished by Hardy Engineering. Rear
axle/differential refurbished by Brown & Gammons. New engine and
gearbox insulators. The car rides on all alloy 15" replica V8
wheels supplied by Clive Wheatley, shod with 185/65 Michelin tyres.
Other replacements include new rear telescopic dampers and leaf springs.
New propshaft. New high output alternator. New electronic SU fuel
pump and hoses. Carburettors refurbished with new floats and jets.
Refurbished brake calibers and new discs. New radiator and water pump.
New brake and clutch master cylinders as well as clutch slave cylinder.
New high output Wosp starter motor. Twin 12v batteries and cut off
switch. LED side and indicator lights. New heater matrix. The car
left the Factory with Teal Blue paint. A previous owner in the 1990s
repainted the car in the Rover colour of Silver Leaf and retrimmed
the interior with grey leather and grey carpets. It now needs a new
owner to refresh the paintwork in the normal areas as the wing seams
are bubbling. Purchased with mileage showing 125,067 on the odometer,
now reads just above 130,300. A new MOT is about to be carried out.
I have enjoyed this car for the last six years and now wish to let
another enthusiast continue the refurbishment. Asking price £11,000.

              - 1975 (gold-badged) Factory MGBGTV8 in Tahiti Blue - SOLD
MGBGTV8 (Tahiti Blue 2563) - MOT May 2025 no advisories. Owned
30 years, 100k+ in my ownership, PO records indicate it has done
230k in total. Lots of history from my ownership and some from the
previous owner. Body largely sound, repaint to 'nice driver' standard
(engine compartment stripped) and engine rebuild in 2017. Paint
is lifting slightly on driver's front wing seam. At a recent inspection
a prospective purchaser spent about half an hour scraping in the
offside rear arch and exposed two holes, body shop estimates £250
to repair. The rest of the inside and outside is good. PO fitted
two dials in the end of the dash, currently clock and voltmeter.
Also cut holes in the centre for auxiliary switches, now neatened
up - fan override switch and indicator, rear fogs and spare which
was front fogs. Gearbox had a PO rebuild and one with me but got
noisy again so I had a Vitesse Mazda 5-speed conversion done last
year. Tyres replaced 2018, road wheels fair, spare poor. Originally
bought as a daily driver when I gave up a company car. I find myself
doing few miles in the car now as the majority of MG events and
trips are done in our MGB Roadster owned even longer. I still service
and maintain both cars myself but I'm not getting any younger and
crawling over, round and under two MGBs every year is getting harder,
hence it's for sale. Reduced to £9,950 250518

Viper Blue, was built with great care using a fully restored 1972
BGT shell and a 1995 RV8 donor car and completed in 2000. It has featured

the second owner. Mileage is now 45,000 miles. Comprehensive history
file including the build. It was registered as a 1972 MGV8 so is road

sale - MGB Roadster - an all purpose competition car - SOLD First registered in 1964. Bought in 1965 by Jim Loveday and modified
into an all purpose competition car. Purchased by Gerry Brown in 1982,
then its first main event was the 1990 Coppa D'Italia. He finished
2nd in class, 19th overall. Two months later the car was borrowed
by Stirling Moss, who drove it in the Pirelli Marathon from Tower
Bridge to Cortina in Italy. He finished third overall, just three
seconds behind the second place crew. In 1990 was the GT/Saloon race
at the Eifel Klassik weekend at the Nurburgring, where he finished
2nd in class, 6th overall. Gerry competed with the car in the 1993
historic Targa Rusticana rally, finishing second overall. Many events
followed, both races and rallies, the most recent after an engine
rebuild, were the 2010 Classic Mountain Challenge, and finally the
2011 Winter Challenge regularity rally, which finished in Monte Carlo.
The car was then partially dismantled, and then left, due to Gerry's
illness. Since Gerry's death, the car has been carefully restored,
and used on track days. It drives and handles beautifully, reflecting
Gerry's engineering skills. MOT to January 2026. Passed with no advisories.

sale - Factory chrome bumper MGBGTV8 in Damask - SOLD
in 11 weeks MGBGTV8 (Damask 0484), a 1974 Factory chrome bumper car in standard
condition with a genuine 55,500 miles supported by every single MOT
certificate back to 1977. Finished in its original Damask Red complimented
with original alloy/chrome wheels and navy interior. This car is pretty
well as it left the Factory including original cast iron exhaust manifolds,
complete air induction system, underbonnet labels, rubber floor mats,
push button radio and 4 speed gearbox with overdrive on 3rd &
top. Also correct are the, minimal, Factory exterior badges. The car
also has the original keys, handbook, Leyland 'passport to service'
document, Heritage certificates, together with much other history.
It also sports the original, appropriate, number plate "3.5".
The only major departures from standard are a 12 volt battery with
isolation switch and the exhaust system which, although quite loud,
is most addictive and I have come to love the sound!. Many more pictures
are available. This car is solid original underneath with original
sills, castle rails and rear springs hangers. This car has never been
welded. It has no patch panels and absolutely does not require any.
After removing interior trim panels, I noticed that there is copious
rustproofing wax everywhere - I would say that this is why the car
has survived so well. Overall, the paintwork is bright and shiny,
polishes up well and looks good - however, it is not perfect. I have
owned it for 14 years, with a total of four owners all documented
in the accompanying substantial history files. Currently stored in
my heated, dehumidified motorhouse here in Worcestershire. £20,500.

sale - 1974 'N' Reg MGBGT original factory V8 in original colour Aconite
            Purple - SOLD
in 8 weeks This is an original chrome bumper factory V8 not a conversion,
and is one of just 92 factory V8s in this colour, VIN 1339. Build
date 7th February 1974. Contrasting Autumn Leaf velour interior. Odometer
reading 36,500, although I think this has been round the clock. Manual,
four speed + overdrive. In standard specification with the exception
of the front valance spoiler, SPAX upright shock absorber conversion
and electronic ignition, plus the period Motorola radio has been adapted
with an AUX input. Stainless steel exhaust system. I have replaced
the steering wheel but the original steering wheel will be supplied
with the vehicle. The last owner, a serious enthusiast with his own
fully-equipped workshop, bought the MG in 2005 and between 2009 and
2011 carried out a complete bare-metal restoration on the vehicle,
returning it to its original colour scheme. It remains in outstanding
condition and is a real credit to him. I have a significant file of
bills from the restoration and MOTs back to 1995. It has covered around
16,000 miles since the restoration (which included a full engine rebuild),
has always been garaged since and not used in the wet or the winter.
The car has been shown and the programme from the Cumbria Classic
Car Show in 2012 is included with its paperwork. There are two sets
of keys. The car has smooth and effortless performance thanks to the
V8 and cruises comfortably with the overdrive engaged. Very good condition
throughout. Reluctant sale due to change in family circumstances.
            Reduced £19,900.

Sale - 1973 Chrome Bumper Factory MGBGTV8 rebuilt with a Heritage
shell - SOLD in 6 weeks Historic vehicle status registered with DVLA as the original car,
so no road tax or MOT required. Buyer shall acquire a reliable MGBGTV8
with improvements. It has the registration WHG 969M, Car Number GD2D1
870 G with an odometer with 6,417 miles. The original car was a 1973
Factory produced chrome bumper car which was used as the basis of
a Heritage shell project by McFadyen Classic Cars, Motherwell, and
painted Old English White by same. The interior was refurbished in
black leather and velour with black carpets by PJM Motors of Market
Drayton. The original 3.5 litre V8 engine was overhauled by Brian
Luti at Dreadnought Garage in Callander. Brian is well experienced
in Rover V8 engines and was the go-to specialist for this engine work.
The drive train consists of the original 4 speed gearbox overhauled
by Clive Wheatley, Bridgnorth and the original Laycock overdrive unit
overhauled by Overdrive Repair Services Sheffield. The overdrive is
selected by column stalk. Driving in 3rd gear and switching overdrive
in and out gives a delightful semi-automatic driving experience. Other

sale - MGBGTV8 in Black - SOLD Factory MGB GT V8 (1976) exported from the UK to Belgium in 2012.
Colour is Black and comes on a set of original, hard to find Dunlop
wheels that are specific to this model (including a spare, so 5 in
total). The car was converted to Chrome Bumpers by a professional
company prior to my ownership, and ever since further enhancements
have been made. In the interior, seats were replaced with 'Club' black
leather seats, an elm burr dashboard and gear knob were added as was
a black leather Motolita steering wheel. Furthermore, the car received
a Webasto roof which functions very well and does not leak. Mechanically,
the car received a rebuilt engine (3.5l) based on a block of a late
Land Rover Discovery, with new pistons, camshaft, electronic ignition,
Weber 500 carburettor. This engine was rolling roaded at 186 BHP.
The suspension was lowered and the rear leaf springs were replaced
with parabolic springs and Gaz shocks, helped by anti-tramp bars,
with a significantly beneficial effect on the handling and comfort.
Included in the sale is the original engine including carburettors,
inlet manifold (very rare!), ignition etc. Additionally, the car comes
with a set of 15 inch Minilite wheels in good condition. The bodywork
requires significant attention (see picture) despite a respray around
            2010, hence a price of 15.000 EUR.

sale - rare original Factory MGBGTV8 in Glacier White - withdrawn Glacier White/black interior Factory V8 first reg March 1976 owned
by me since 2000, with only 58,000 Miles and a large history file,
including a Heritage certificate, MOTs and many receipts.
I have tried to keep the
car as original as possible. Amongst the very few changes are stainless
steel manifolds and exhaust system and a stainless steel fuel tank.
The extensive records state that a full wax-oil and underseal treatment
was carried out early in the car's life. The car has a Webasto sun
roof and the original Dunlop cast alloy wheels are fitted with hardly
worn Continental ECO contact tyres. Much work done over the years
including new clutch and brake servos. Most recently, a new clutch
and new engine mounts were fitted and the starter motor refurbished.
Front and rear springs have also been replaced. A rolling road tune
up (about 1,000 miles ago) confirms that the engine is still producing
the same bhp and torque as when new! As a historic vehicle it is MOT
exempt but I have continued having an annual MOT inspection. The current
certificate is until August and has no advisories. My V8 wears its
45 years and 58,000 miles extremely well, prompting many compliments.
The car is garaged and driven only in dry weather. Additional info
and photographs on request. £21,950 210511

Sebring Replica - YVJ 235K was first registered 22/06/1972 now
as Historic. MOT to February 2022. Comprehensive build details of
conversion to V8-engined Sebring replica, with photographic record.
Impressive spec. Real Steel upgrades to engine, together with Holley
4-barrel carburettor and Offenhauser 360 manifold, should give approx
250 bhp according to their spec sheets. From MOT history, the car
appears to have covered 600 miles since 2006! Over £7,500 spent
in 2019 by previous owner. I bought the car last summer (2020) as
a project - it looked a bit down-at-heel and unloved. Since then,
we have fitted new parabolic rear springs and telescopic shock absorbers,
and new front springs as those fitted were too short. Four new Nankang
225/60/15 tyres have been fitted for good all-round use (dry/wet,
road/track). Two sets of new 4-point competition harnesses have been
fitted, using a new mounting bar supplied by Safety Devices for optimum
over-shoulder angle. A new hand-held fire extinguisher has also been
fitted in front of the passenger seat. The car is now ready for new
adventures, on the road, on track days, sprints or hillclimbs or historic
rallying, as the new owner prefers. £18,995

Sale - original Factory MGBGTV8 Chrome Bumper 1973 in Damask Red -
SOLD MGBGTV8 in Damask is an original chrome bumper model built
in September 1973 and first registered in October 1973. Chassis and
engine numbers match and are correct. It had been restored in the
late 1980s/1990s, and I purchased it in 1994 undertaking
a full mechanical restoration, finishing in 2005. I have used it occasionally
and it now showing a mileage of 126,000.Has the original Webasto sunroof.
The mechanical restoration included a full engine rebuild (balanced),
gearbox and overdrive overhaul, rear axle check and modification,
and new / refurbished suspension, steering, brakes and all ancillary
parts. The car is original apart from some small useful upgrades
telescopic dampers on the rear, polyurethane suspension bushes, small
high torque starter, conversion to a single 12v battery and electronic
ignition. Documentation from 1988 with MOTs from 1982 and receipts
for the parts and work undertaken. Known issues: it really does need
a respray. It is vehicle excise duty (VED) free and, although it no
longer needs an MOT, it will be tested before sale. Price:

MGBGTV8 conversion - SOLD in 18 days A high-quality conversion carried out in the late 1990s by Dave Lockett
whose aim was to create 'the V8 Abingdon should have built'. Based
on a 1973 shell, the car has an SD1 engine with K&N filters, 'block
hugger' extractor manifolds, a 2¼ inch diameter exhaust and
a Maniflow silencer, providing 160 bhp at the flywheel. The engine
is mated to an LT77 5-speed gearbox and an MGC back axle. It has shorter,
stiffer front springs and standard GT rear springs with anti-tramp
bars so the car sits about 1½ inches lower than a standard
V8. It has a 13/16th anti roll bar, negative camber lower wishbone
arms and poly bushes throughout. Wheels are 15-inch Minilite replicas
and tyres are Dunlop Sport Blu Response 185/65, about four years old.
The bodywork is rock-solid and standard, apart from the bonnet louvres.
The car was resprayed in Old English White about seven years ago and
the finish remains good. Interior trim in navy blue is also good.
I have owned the car for 11 years and 30,000 miles - it is reliable
and a joy to drive. Free road tax and a year's MoT. Price £14,000.

sale - low mileage Factory MGBGTV8 in Aconite - SOLD
within a week Aconite 1077 built in 1973, close to the ex Factory spec because
it has not been mucked around with, having had very few replacement
parts, and only a small number of sensible upgrades - for example
electronic ignition. Built in December 1973, registered in February
1974 with a Heritage certificate and matching numbers. Zero road tax.
Has original engine and gearbox, only 69,000 miles with MOT records
back to 1979 confirming mileage. Overdrive on 3rd and 4th. Condition
1 but not concours or polished show standard because originality has
been retained where possible. Aconite bodywork with Autumn Leaf interior.
V8 wheels in good condition. Everything is working, although it will
need some new tyres if it is going to be driven rather than stored.
Under 100 miles since the last MOT. Was Ziebarted from new, so still
has original rust free bodywork and has not had, or needed, any major
restoration work. Has recently been treated throughout with Waxoyl
and had a comprehensive sympathetic conservation by a meticulous engineer.
Over 12 pages covering history and maintenance available plus some
receipts, tax discs, MOTs and the original handbook. UK buyers only

            - excellent condition Factory MGBGTV8 by long standing V8 Register
member - car found I am looking to purchase, from a fellow enthusiast, a Factory built
chrome bumper MGBGTV8 in Condition 1, close to the original specification.
Any Factory original paint colours, together with appropriate and
sympathetic upgrades are acceptable. I would provide the car with
a good home and much TLC. Having previously owned a Factory MGBGTV8

sale - MGB V8 Roadster conversion - reduced - SOLD Export model reimported in 1995. Body very sound although an older
restoration. Many new parts have been fitted since I have had the
vehicle including a new grill, bumper, 15 inch Minilite wheels, and
most of the hydraulics have been changed. The engine is a P6 Rover
unit with Holley carburettor. The gearbox is Rover 5 speed and an
MGC rear axle. It has an MOT to January 2019. Unfortunately there
is no history with the car as this was lost in transit when reimported.

            - exceptional MGBGTV8 Factory car by long term V8 Register Member
            - car purchased through this advert Long term V8 Register member seeks to purchase from a fellow enthusiast
a Factory V8, Condition 1, chrome bumper car which is close to the
original specification but with a sunroof. You may be assured that
your car will go to a good home. As a long term MGV8 enthusiast I
wish to purchase from an owner who, like me, cares about the future
of the car as much as its past. I am happy to accept a car subtly
or tastefully modified including leather upholstery. Colour must be
unchanged from the Factory original and preferably Glacier White,
Black Tulip or Teal Blue, but any colour would be fine for the right
car. In the first instance please feel free to call for a chat together.
Alternatively email or me to give the expectation of price together
with a general exchange of other information. Please, no dealers.
I am in Norfolk but will happily travel anywhere within the UK to
view a car. A comprehensive history file that includes details of
body and mechanical repairs or upgrades would be invaluable as would
any other documentation regarding the history. Also any information
on the availability, or likely availability, of a good MGBGTV8 would
be very much appreciated. Discretion assured. Contact: Angus Munro.

            sale - 1974 MGBGTV8 Factory chrome bumper model no 1533 - SOLD
in 3 weeks Earlier renovation including bare metal respray, changing colour from

a blueprinted engine producing 182 BHP at the flywheel with a 5 speed
SD1 gearbox. The upgraded trim has been partially replaced and needs
finishing. The Webasto roof is waterproof, as recently tested on this
year's New Forest V8 Tour and new tyres were fitted last year as were
two 12v batteries. The bodywork is very good, testament to the earlier
paintwork and the engine and drive train are superb. A comprehensive

sale - 1973 MGB V8 Roadster in white - readvertised and reduced
to sell - SOLD in 4 weeks The original car was a chrome bumper and it has a chrome bumper cross
member, not from a rubber bumper model which is common practice. The
engine sits lower than any you will find and sits well into the bulkhead
giving better balance than any others I have driven. This car is not
for the purist as it has been modified. Front suspension with coil
over shocks which is fully adjustable. Disc brakes all round, vented
fronts, Rear axle has a 3.08 ratio with limited slip diff, wire wheels
            7" x 15 fronts and 8" x 15 rears. Later after market instrument
gauges. Full wet weather gear. The log book shows it is registered
with the correct engine details. The age qualifies it for road tax
exemption. It has a current MOT until October 2017. It comes with
an assortment of spares. Someone will have some fun with this car
as it's very quick. It has always been garaged whilst in my ownership
            since (1989). Reduced to £12,250. 161017

sale at auction - low mileage chrome bumper Factory MGBGTV8 in Tundra
            - SOLD at auction Tundra 1118 (1974) with only 19,642 miles and owned by a former
V8 Register member, is being sold at Classic Car Auctions on Saturday
24th September at the Warwickshire Exhibition Centre CV311XN . Details
say it "has been maintained regardless of cost, it has never
been restored but simply regularly maintained and cared for on an
ongoing basis. Sensible upgrades include a twin 12v battery conversion
and a stainless steel exhaust system. The MOT test was recently passed
with no advisories". From the auction listing it appears to be
Condition 2 Plus with an auction estimate of £12,000 to £15,000.
The vendor has since clarified the mileage is in fact "about

rebuild started in March 2013 and was completed in August 2014. All
the restoration work carried out by Halls Garage at Bourne, mileage
shown 39,000 (believed genuine). The rebuild was undertaken with attention

makes driving painful so the consequent lack of use forces a very
reluctant sale at considerably less than the rebuild cost for a car.

car, registered as "Historic" so no road tax payable. I
have owned the car since January 2004, and the onset of arthritis

sale - Factory chrome bumper MGBGTV8 in Glacier White - SOLD
in less than 3 weeks Glacier White 1932 (Oct 74 N) with tan interior, MOT to April
2016, zero VED with "Historic" road tax exemption. The Sports
Car Classics magazine featured this car in 2003/2004 in a special
            "V8
Power" article, including detailed descriptions of the very
comprehensive "virtually as new" restoration works carried
out on this "Condition 1+" car. The present owner bought
this car immediately after reading this article. To read a copy of
this "V8 Power" article. There have been two significant
restoration phases: the first around 1983/4 to rebuild the car into
a new BMC factory made (1980) body shell (these last factory made
shells had far superior anti-corrosion treatment than earlier ones)
and the second restoration took place in 1997-2003 and was fully comprehensive
as described in the above article, with about everything being inspected
and refurbished/replaced as required. It has covered 10,273 miles
since this restoration. Extensive records (invoices) for these restoration
works are available. In summary the significant/major works include:
replaced body shell (CB) and a subsequent body shell strip/refinish
and repaint; engine stripped down, inspected and refurbished as necessary
            by a Rover V8 engine specialist company; brakes and suspension rebuilt;
exhaust system reverted to cast iron manifolds; electrical systems
            and fully reworked interior with leather seats and new carpet etc.;
and much more. The major supplier for genuine MG parts was V8 Conversions
of Farnborough, Kent who have continued to supply parts to the present
owner, these included: engine immobiliser/keyless entry; electric
window lifts, Lumenition electronic ignition; replacement alternator
and starter. Also new Firestone tyres fitted, as may have been on
the car when new. Price: £15,500 for a car ready to go
anywhere at any time. Definitely a Condition 1+ car. 150921

sale - Factory MGBGTV8 in Damask Red - SOLD Damask 1516 (1974) registered on 6th September 1974 with an original
UK registration number VKX 207 N and matching chassis and engine numbers
(GD2D11516G/1395). The car has original Passport and Owners Handbook
and some service history, last two recorded MOTs were July 1999 with
recorded mileage of 11,344 and July 2000 with recorded mileage of
11,930 The car has done very little mileage since. Mechanically the
car is in excellent condition with complete new braking system including
callipers, master cylinder, servo and copper lines installed. All
front suspension has been fitted with poly bushes, uprated valves,
uprated anti roll bar, castor kit and negative camber arms. Battery
has been converted to single 12v with isolator switch. Interior is
excellent with new leather upholstery and new fitted carpets and period
radio, new 15" alloy wheels with Pirelli tyres also fitted. Bodywork
is in good condition however there are areas that will need attention
as there are signs of rust coming through, for example bottom of doors
and front wings around mouldings and lights etc. Needs a new rear
exhaust box. The car will also come with numerous spares including
the five original Dunlop composite wheels, new front grill (never
fitted) original air intake (K&N filters fitted) spare fuel pump
and many more parts. I haven't driven the car on a regular basis in
over two years and it needs to be driven and cared for so I'm looking
for someone to give it the care and attention it deserves. Price

Wanted - Exceptional original Factory MGBGTV8 - car
found & purchased I am looking for a genuine Condition 1 or Condition 2 low mileage
GT V8 which is mostly the original specification or slightly improved.
The bodywork, interior and mechanicals should be excellent and I would
prefer a late chrome bumper model with a sunroof. I am now retired
and need a car that my wife will be comfortable in for weekends away.
I have recently joined the MG Car Club and am a genuine MG enthusiast
who wants to buy a much cherished car from another member who has
decided to relinquish his pride and joy. I promise to give the car
a very good home! Please email your photos, specification and what

            - Exceptional original Factory MGBGTV8 - Car
now found in New Zealand I am the proud owner of two Concours standard Spridgets, a 1971 Austin
Sprite and a 1973 MG Midget, both of which I treasure. However I would
like to purchase an MGBGTV8 at which point my wife informs me that
one of the Spridgets will have to go! I am looking for a genuine Condition
1 very low mileage V8 which is close to original specification and
in an unmolested state. The bodywork and mechanicals should be commensurate
with a Condition 1 rated car. I appreciate that whilst such a car
would initially be more expensive to purchase, long term ownership
costs should be considerably lower as I expect to have an annual mileage
of only circa 3,000 miles. I know I have set very stringent search
criteria but as a genuine MG enthusiast and fellow MG Car Club member
(not a Trader) understandably I only want the best! A chrome bumper
car would be preferred but I would consider a truly exceptional car
with rubber bumpers. Although some colours would have an attraction
I do not wish to limit my search by this criteria at this stage. If
possible I would like to purchase from a fellow enthusiast. In the
first instance please email photos, specification and expectation
            of price.

sale - 1973 MGB V8 Roadster in white - SOLD The car was built by myself "a trained engineer" in 1990.
Therefore I can advise the buyer on everything to do with the car.
I used the car regularly in the early years including many trips abroad
and it proved to be very reliable. The original car was a chrome bumper
and it has a chrome bumper cross member, not from a rubber bumper
model which is common practice. The engine sits lower than any you
will find and sits well into the bulkhead giving better balance than
any others I have driven. This car is not for the purist as it is
extensively modified. Bespoke front suspension with coil over shocks
and fully adjustable. Disc brakes all round, vented fronts, Ford rear
axle 3.08 ratio with limited slip diff, wire wheels 7" x 15 fronts
and 8" x 15 rears. Later Smiths instrument gauges. Full weather
gear. DVLA. were contacted when I finished the car and it is registered
with the correct registration document details so no issues with insurance
etc and the age qualifies it for road tax exemption. It has a current
MOT. It comes with a vast amount of spares including two spare SD1
engines (one has fuel injection), 5 speed gearbox, brand new super
charger, the original set of 14" wire wheels with very good tyres
and many other bits and pieces. I'm 60 now and it all has to go. Someone
will have some fun with this car as it's very quick. It has always
            been garaged since 1990. £15,500. 150622

MGBGTV8 Chrome bumper factory car - car
found and purchased in Northern Ireland I am an MG Car Club member and a long-time MGB GT fan having owned
a wire wheel BGT in British Racing Green in the 1970s. Family circumstances
forced the sale of the car and I have hankered after another ever
since. However, I would now like a little more power than the 1800
engine and a V8 seems the obvious choice. I am looking for a car in
good condition, preferably category 1, in Damask Red, Teal Blue or
Glacier White with an extensive service history and without a sun
roof. Limited garage space combined with my age and lessening agility
makes a car in good condition a necessity. The days of engine removal
and bodywork repair are now behind me. I would prefer to buy from
a private seller rather than from a dealer or by auction. If you are
a MG enthusiast who would like to sell your cherished car to a like-minded
enthusiast, please give me a ring or email. I live in the Midlands

sale - Factory Original MGBGTV8 - Sold to an
enthusiast in France Teal Blue 0547. For sale of my beloved MGBGTV8 which I have had
the pleasure of owning and maintaining for two and half years. This
is a very early matching numbers tax exempt car built
in August 1973 and despatched to Kennings in Ealing, London on 12th
Sept 1973 and registered to its first owner on 12th October 1973.
Chassis GD2D1/547-G, Engine 4860-0400 with body in Teal Blue with
Autumn Leaf interior and a Tudor Webasto sunroof. A true classic British
thoroughbred with looks and 120+ MPH performance to match; the car
remains in fine fettle and runs very well with no creaks or groans
and returns good MPG with use of the smooth-engaging overdrive. MOT
expires April 2015. Bodywork, paint finish, interior, chrome and appendages
all in very good condition. The only non-standard extras are the fitment
of electric windows which work fine and Luminition electronic ignition,
which is also very good. When the revs start to rise and the pace
quickens, a stainless exhaust gives the car a very pleasant howl,
while recent fitment of a new servo ensures excellent breaking performance,
as and when you need it. Four new Continental Eco-Contact tyres as
recommended by the Register provide superb grip and added ride comfort.
Has had two new 6v batteries fitted only recently. A full history
file of bills and receipts, plus photos of the restoration confirms
the history and provenance. Also supplied with a Heritage Certificate.
A sound future investment as the market is now waking up to recognising
these cars for their rarity and classic British appeal. Price £13,950

(3895cc) pushing out 200bhp at the flywheel with a stainless steel
exhaust and it performs as expected. The push button start always
fires up the engine and I have just put in a new high performance
Optima battery. I have had the car for four years now and have only
driven it in the summer months on dry runs. The MOT renewal is 20th
July 2014 and it's taxed until the end of October 2013. Excellent
condition, including the body and all the bright work. New tyres on
15" Minilite wheels with up rated suspension and brakes give
the car a great ride. A 14" Motolita steering wheel, leather
seats, new carpets and a five-speed gearbox make it a real pleasure
            to drive. £POA. 130812

early rubber bumper models and one of only twelve in this rare colour,

car for the last 6 years and it has been dry stored since its purchase.

restoration, The car is not running and will have to be trailered

sale - DEV 2, the second Project Adder development car - SOLD
June 2013 It was built in 1990 by Mark Gamble at BMH using a new Heritage MGB
shell and fitted with a 3.9 injection engine supplied by Land Rover
Engineering. The car has covered just over 26,000 miles and is in
very good condition. It has a 3.9i V8 with 5 speed box with uprated
suspension and brakes. Apart from its obvious historic importance,
it is a very fast usable car. It may look like an ordinary MGB, apart
from its RV8 bonnet and prototype styled front end, but its performance
is far from ordinary. It comes with a comprehensive history file and
documents relating to its ownership with BMH and Rover Group. I am
only selling this car as I need the room. The last time I used it
was in 2010 and it is now on SORN. It will be given a new 12 months
MOT for the new owner. This is a genuine works development car with
documented history. I am open to sensible offers around £14,000.
