The V8 Gathering at the MG Car Club's annual two day end of
season race meeting at the Norfolk circuit was well attended
by the Norfolk V8 Burblers.
Spencer McCarthy drove his father's well campaigned MGBGTV8
to a fine win in the BCV8 Championship race which Roy would
have loved to have seen.
Mike Breedon, a longstanding V8 member was there with
his ex John Tadman MGBGTV8 going to Joe Parrington as Mike has
had to retire from active motorsport. Sadly he is standing down
as chairman of the BCV8 Championship after many years of real
service for the Club.

Taylor, Ian Quarrington and Victor Smith were early
arrivals at Snetterton followed closely by John
Bolt and local RV8 members Don Gilham, Terry Starkey
and a clutch of fellow V8 Burblers. They all headed
straight for Tyrrells for a serious breakfast. David
Stonehouse and George Wilder were there too.
As usual the Club had a very welcome hospitality
suite for members where the trophies were presented
promptly after each race. Dave Saunders and Howard
Gosling were on hand over the whole weekend organising
over 180 trophies! |
