Lockheed
brake fluid level warning light kit
Peter Jones found the kit in an old box of "goodies" but
says he has never seen one at auto jumbles. He believes it was produced
and available back in the late sixties/early seventies so "it
would count as an "in period" accessory for those who desire
such things." He adds "it is a nice piece of electro-mechanical
gear which has been replaced by electronics." (4.1.09)

Low
Brake Fluid Sensor
Following a number of reports of servo failures, Bob Owen of TE Electronics
developed an ingenious electronic sensor which is fitted in a similar
way to the master cylinder. Whilst this earlier Lockheed electro-mechanical
system using a float is an interesting discovery, we are fortunate
to have a modern safety unit. Further details of the TE
