AGM 2020
Sunday 2nd August 2020 at noon
Because of the Covid-19 constraints, the V8 AGM will be online with
voting using an online voting form for Members. It's a
practical way of holding a V8 AGM
in a fair and reasonable way,
particularly as the V8 AGM 2019 was shunted on a month because of
the cancellation of MGLive 2019 where it was originally to have
been held. The
V8 Committee have agreed to go ahead with an online AGM 2020 as
it does at least allow the most democratic method of sharing the
process with as many Members who wish to contribute as well as keeping
the V8 Committee fresh and working positively.
If any V8 Member has any query on the procedure, information released
or any matter they wish to raise please do contact the V8 Chairman.

AGM 2020 timetable
Friday 12th June 2020 - formal notice of the V8 AGM 2020
was released on the V8 Website.
Sunday 21st June 2020 - information webpage was released
on the V8 Website with a copy of the previous AGM minutes, nominations,
reports, accounts for 2019, and information that an online voting
form will be available for use by eligible Members. An detailed
information note was released on the V8 Website available via
a link on the homepage. Detailed

Saturday 27th June 2020 - an online Member response form
was released on the V8 Website so Members can raise any matters
arising or online Member response form to enable Members to
raise matters arising or other issues which will be posted on
a dedicated webpage as they are received.

Tuesday 30th June 2020 - formal notice of the V8 AGM
2020 was published on page 8 of the July issue of Safety Fast!
Saturday 11th July 2020 - closing date for Members sending
in matters arising or comments using the online form. Any matters
raised which need to be voted upon will be added to the online
voting form with an announcement on the V8 Website so Members
can vote on the matter.
Sunday 12th July 2020 - the online voting form will
be released on the V8 Website with an announcement and link
on the homepage of the V8 Website. That will provide Members
with 3 weeks to vote.
Sunday 2nd August 2020 at noon - the voting form will
be removed from the V8 Website and the meeting will commence
attended by Victor Smith, John Cumming and Chris Bound (each
by telephone) and any other V8 Member who might wish to visit
a gazebo erected on the current V8 Chairman's lawn. We will
go through the agenda, examine and record the votes for approving
the previous minutes (2019 V8 AGM), approving the 2019 accounts,
and the votes received for each nomination and voting on any
other matters that may have been raised by V8 Members. Following
closing the meeting the minutes of the meeting will be prepared
and released on the V8 Website. |

AGM 2020 in exceptional circumstances
In these exceptional Covid-19 circumstances we have tried
to create arrangements which follow our usual procedures but,
as the AGM is online, ensure members get all the information
and can vote. It
does at least allow the most democratic method of sharing the
process with as many Members who wish to contribute as well
as keeping the V8 Committee fresh and working positively.
V8 AGM in slow motion
In effect our plans are for an online V8 AGM in slow motion
– in fact voting will be over a period of 3 weeks
from Sunday 12th July 2020 to noon on Sunday 2nd August 2020.
