MGBGTV8
restoration
Lorraine Noble-Thompson had been looking to get an
MGBGTV8 in Aconite, a colour she particularly liked, but found it
difficult to find one in that colour. Eventually she decided to go
for a good car which she could have carefully refurbished with a respray
in Aconite.
Lorraine found one in Old English White advertised on the MGV8s for
Sale webpage on the V8 website. It was a 1973 Factory produced chrome
bumper car (originally Harvest Gold 0870) which was used as the basis
for a Heritage shell project carried out by McFadyen Classic Cars
in Motherwell. Following a careful inspection Lorraine bought the
car and set about a careful refurbishment which is now complete.

As
the engine was previously overhauled by Brian Luti at the Dreadnought
Garage in Callander, it was taken out when the car was stripped down
and sent to Callander for checkover. Meanwhile the body has been stripped
ready for any necessary refurbishment work and then the respray.
