Breedon has had MGBGTV8s for many years, including his Factory chrome bumper model
in Blaze, but has been in touch to say "I have added yet another V8 to my
list of cars owned and sometimes sold! It's a late registered chrome bumper car
- Teal Blue 1753 - first registered on 1st December 1974. Unfortunately it came
with very little previous paperwork so I have very little knowledge about its
past. As with many V8s now it has lost quite a lot of its original fittings especially
with the suspension, which has been totally changed to telescopics at the rear
plus a Ron Hopkinson anti roll bar fitted with uprated lever arms, stronger springs
and a thicker anti roll bar at the front. The body work has obviously had plenty
of restoration but looks like it was probably a home respray which
is not that good. More

have bought this one with the intention of slowly putting it back to as original
as I can whilst still using it on occasions. I still have TAN 926M, now in my
32nd year of its ownership, who would have thought that all those years ago. Fortunately
I have used TAN 926M enough, enjoyed doing so in so many ways that it will remain
part of my life for as long as I can keep it in good order and can still get in
and out of it!
An active
BCV8 Championship competitor in an MGBGTV8 Mike was an active compeitor
in the ex John Tadman MGBGTV8 and was seen at the Clubs successful two day
race meeting at Snetterton in October 2010 with his ex John Tadman Class D MGBGTV8
he had campaigned in the BCV8 Championship for many years. It was driven at Snetterton
by Joe Parrington as he took over the car as Mike had to retire from active motorsport.

John
Targett Cup in 2015 Mike Breedon received the John Targett Cup for his
hard work running the BCV8 Championship for many years and racing V8s. Mike contributed
many years of real service to the Club running the BCV8 Championship as its chairman
- a demanding role. Sadly he stood down in 2010. The John Targett Cup is awarded
annually in memory of a much loved V8 enthusiast and regular at the Hook Norton
brewry visits each year and MGLive! who sadly passed away in 2014. More
