The
funeral will be this coming Saturday 28th June at 11.30 at Sunderland Crematorium,
Chester Road, SR4 5SU. | Sad
news at MG90 that regular BCV8 Championship competitor Joe Parrington had passed
away on Friday as he lost his battle with cancer. Joe was desperately trying to
make it to Silverstone and at one time was intending to drive himself but eventually
he recognised that he would not be strong enough, so handed the drive of his V8
on to his friend Neville Anderson but with his passing that was not to be.
In recognition of his
long connection with the BCV8 Championship since 1989 the grid held a two minutes
silence prior to the raceat MG90 with 58 drivers standing to respect.
