Enjoy a day at Castle Combe driving on the circuit with fellow V8 enthusiasts
The track days are very well run by MGs On Track and the driving standards of the enthusiasts attending them are very good. Jim Gibson (Flamenco Red 2435) has been "an occasional MGoT track day participant" and says "the MGoT events I've been to have been very well organised and show great attention to a high standard of track etiquette, so they are generally very good for a beginner".

So what are the arrangements for this track day?
Well each car will be on the track for 15 minutes in each hour and MGoT plan a three hour morning session and another three hours after lunch, so that should give each car a total of 90 minutes on the track. Each 15 minute session will have a maximum of 12 cars so there will be plenty of room for both those with some experience of track days and beginners. Our aim is to get sufficient V8 enthusiasts prepared to book this track day so we can have a set of dedicated V8 sessions at this MGoT track day. The track day will be held on Monday 8th September 2008 and the cost will be £125 per person.

Let us know if you are interested

V8 enthusiasts who would like to attend this V8 Track Day should get in touch in the next two weeks so we can assess the level of interest and make the necessary arrangements with MGoT. Already five V8 members have confirmed they are keen to drive their V8s at Castle Combe and enjoy the company of fellow V8 enthusiasts. We have a convenient online response form so you can let us know if you would like to book a place. (2.12.07) Photo report of the day

Update from Steve Hill at MGoT on 1.5.08
"We are about to open up the booking page for Session 4 at the MGoT Track Day at Castle Combe on Monday 8th September 2008. There is one vacancy in your dedicated V8 session and we will now allocate it to Mike Salter who has already paid for a place. That will close the session. Initially we will position Session 4 as a session with more places for additional V8 Register drivers and for MGZT260V8 drivers, so please update your site and perhaps be ready to market any remaining places at the Club's International MG Meeting at Silverstone in June. I will let the MGZT260V8 drivers know, they currently have 3 definites and 3 possibles. Lastly, may I thank you for your support with this venture".
So any V8 members with an MGBGTV8, V8 Roadster, MG RV8, MGZT260V8 or MGSV are very welcome to contact MGoT and book in for what should be a friendly and enjoyable day at Castle Combe.
