Geoff Insley is clearly delighted with Black 0974 - he writes: "Thanks for the acknowledgement of the registration of what I am sure you will recognise is the 'Dave Welling's' Car.
Just to reassure you it has come to a good home, and I hope to become
an active member of the V8 Register. I have been an MG Car Club member
for a long time with another MGBGT (fully rebuilt, and with which we have been playing with Hoyle suspension - probably coming off after seeing how
VPK rides - and a track day MGF.
I have thought about a V8 for a while and recently bought, through the trade, Damask 1776 (which turns out to be a nice low mileage car, but needing some TLC) into my company as an air-conditioning development car. I note it's not on the V8 Register and will correct that). This in turn renewed my impetus to look for a really nice car, and I am pleased to have obtained VPK, which is a personal purchase.
VPK is a lovely car which drives superbly, and isn't for development (though might end up with A/C !), but will probably be used more than it has been recently, athough obviously with some sensitivity."
