This V8 has
been used on a daily basis so it is not a concours or museum
piece. It's an opportunity to own the well built and sorted
car that the late Geoff Allen made for Jean and himself to
use and enjoy. It was built with the experience of a lifetime
spent rectifying MGs off the production line, so he knew them
inside out. (7.8.06)

Private
sale - Geoff Allen's V8 Roadster
Ermin White 4001 (ADO232174) is the V8 Roadster Geoff
built for himself in 1980/81 using one of the first rubber
bumper LHD shells manufactured in 1974 which had become a
Factory "tug". It has a number of useful and innovative
features including concealed wiring with all the relays and
ancillaries removed from the engine bay which leaves the inner
wings uncluttered.
The V8 engine is standard with the Factory carburettor setup
and air cleaners, and a standard V8 gearbox with overdrive.
The suspension is lowered slightly and the car is fitted with
a front spoiler. The wheels are the Factory standard Dunlop
composite pattern fitted with Michelin MXV tyres. US pattern
side repeaters are fitted and it has the US style three blade
windscreen wiper arrangement. It has a stainless steel fuel
tank, a straight through exhaust system with steel pipe and
a single box. Inside it has the export dash layout and deck
chair seats.
