Teal blue 0433 (1973) Factory chrome-bumper MGBGTV8 for road, track-day or race use. Owned by me since 1996 when it was prepared by Vic Young for me to run in the 1997 BCV8 Championship as a Class B (standard V8) car. Rebuilt by Roy McCarthy after just 5 races following my slight excess of commitment over talent at Paddock Hill bend. Subsequently fitted with a Roy McCarthy-built and lightly uprated 3.5 engine. Never used on track since, just a few road miles each year. Much of the car therefore has done less than six thousand miles. Maintained by Beech Hill. Taxed, tested and with a current MOT, fully road legal and usable. Quick, torquey, nice well-damped ride/handling compromise, very nice drive. Sounds lovely through the big bore Mike-the-Pipe exhaust. Bodywork is sound, though it is currently fitted with fibre-glass front wings. Trim average (not stripped). Mechanically very strong, spec includes: limited-slip differential, overdrive, roll-cage, safety-cell fuel tank, two Ridgard race seats, one 4-point harness, one 3-point harness, uprated front l/a shocks, adjustable rear l/a shocks, ¾ inch front anti-roll bar, negative camber front suspension arms, short track-rod ends, four 6J Minilite reps with Dunlop 'R's, and new loom. Presentation would benefit from some detailing, and there are a couple of jobs I would do (details on request) so price is negotiable accordingly. Price to include package of spares and original parts including five standard V8 road wheels, seats, trim etc. Offers on £8,950.
