Tour of churches around Watlington in Oxfordshire The tour of the churches route is around 44 miles with just under 2 hours of driving, so a leisurely average speed of 22mph. This reflects the constraints of the narrow lanes on the route where great care is needed finding a passing place when you meet an oncoming vehicle. Participants will be encouraged to avoid setting off together as driving in a convoy can lead to difficulties in narrow lanes and cause frustration and annoyance for local people.
