Morand home for Classic Le Mans
2014
Franck Morand's LHD MGBGTV8 is finished in Mirage, a colour Franck particularly
likes. It left the Factory as a Glacier White car.

Morand was recently back in France and his daughter Ondine accompanied him to
the Le Mans Classic event. On his left in the photo alongside is Regis Fouquereau,
his friend and mechanic who restored his MGBGTV8 years ago. Regis drove a friend's
Facel Vega to Le Mans but the accelerator cable broke on the motorway from Chartres
to Le Mans. So he attached a piece of string to the broken cable, opened the Facel
Vega window, (in spite of the heavy rain), and completed the journey by pulling
the accelerator "string" with his hand hanging over the window!
