Where are V8 members located?



What MGV8 models are registered on the V8 database?


MGBGTV8s (1,734 or 54%), Costello V8s (59 or 2%), V8 Roadsters (406 or 13%), MGBGTV8 Conversions (184 or 6%) and RV8s (810 or 25%).
Where are V8 members located?
Our members are spread around the World with 2,699 (61%) in the UK, 398 (9%) in Mainland Europe and 1,327 (30%) overseas including 400 (9%) in Australia and New Zealand.

Factory MGBGTV8s
With 1,734 cars registered, some 67% of production, if you assume that possibly 15% have been scrapped over the years, then that's 79% of the cars remaining Worldwide. The indications are some 78% of those V8s are in the UK - see page 3 of our report.

A key feature for the MGBGTV8s is the relatively high proportion of Factory MGBGTV8s registered with the V8 Register - some 67% of Factory production and the more so - 79% - if you assume say 15% may have been scrapped over the years. On that basis 82% of chrome and 69% of remaining rubber bumpered cars are registered.

GTV8 & V8 Roadster conversions
With 59 Costello MGBV8s, 184 GTV8s and 406 V8 Roadsters on the V8 Register they form 14% of the cars known to the V8 Register.

MG RV8s
Very few of the large number of RV8s exported to Japan have been registered with the V8 Register by owners in Japan but our information indicates that possibly 870 or 40% are still in Japan with 858 or 42% in the UK, 241 or 11% in Australia & New Zealand and 111 or 5% in Mainland Europe.
