Auction listing said
"V5 present and shows 4 former keepers. Glacier White with
excellent original black leather upholstery. Purchased by the

refinements include factory wheels, Britax sliding sunroof,
Motalita steering wheel, full mud flaps, wheel arch covers,

sounds awesome. We highly recommend that you view in person
any potential purchase and take time to inspect paperwork and
make any relevant enquiries". Listed in May 2016 by Matthewsons

months before the listing was marked as "Sold" in

Advert on the Car and Classic website says "Lovely
car original genuine V8 not a build. This car is in really nice
condition and is only for sale due to a change of plans. Very
sweet sounding engine and excellent running gear this car drives
really nice. Original green tinted windows and V8 wheels. This
is a solid car which is not concours but very good. It is totally
standard with no modifications.
I would consider a rear wheel drive rally car in part exchange.
It was a bucket list item and I had to choose between this and
my Stag. I prefer this but the Mrs likes my auto Stag". |
Comment
> "Excellent original black leather" - the
original Factory seat covers for the MGBGTV8 model were a cord
fabric not leather.
> Motolita steering wheel is a non standard feature.
> V8 badging - no V8 badge on the front grille or
tailgate but a non standard V8 badge on the offside wing.
> Front Dunlop composite wheels appear to have the
larger offset like Scimitar wheels.
> Registered with the V8 Register many years ago by
a member in Lincolnshire. |
Comment
> "Totally standard with no modifications"
except for leather seats and trim, Motolita steering wheel,
V8 badging, stainless steel threshold covers rather than the
original alloy covers and front wheels have a larger offset.
> No photos of the engine bay is unusual.
> MOT expired on 17th September 2020.
> Untaxed, tax due 14th November 2020.
> Mileage was 12,180 miles at the last MOT in September
2019 but the advert says it's 120,000 miles. |
