ACA Auction - 25th January 2020
Sold including premium: £16,748
.
Keith Belcher, one of our Pricewatch volunteers,
reports "the MGBGTV8 was sold at the ACA auction. We believe
the hammer price was £15,800 and with the 6% commission
and VAT the buyer will have paid £16,937.60.
The estimate was £12,500 to £16,500. The seller
would have received the hammer price less the entry fee and
6% commission plus VAT thereon - £14,572.40

MGBGTV8 in BRG
Classic Show, Olympia - 21st February 2020
Offered at: £22,250
Ralph Hardwick reports "I went to the Classic show
at Olympia today to see the same car being offered by Sussex
Classics for £22,250. A healthy 31% increase. The
car has a few non-original features such as an LT77 gearbox,
a combined master cylinder and booster twin circuit brake system,
Minator wheels, C pillar covers and an odd brown leather piped
green leather trim. Microblisters can be seen in the paintwork
under the bright lights. Maybe a reason for the price uplift
- a new set
of black and silver number plates, which it didn't have when
listed for auction at ACA!" |
