Review
of this car
Andy Goves reports "this RV8 failed to sell this afternoon
at the CCA auction and as
you can see above the highest offer was only £12,500 by
a bidder attending the auction Today the CCA website says "buy
now for £15,800".
Comment
> An unusual outcome as MGV8s usually sell well at
CCA auctions.
> RV8s seem sensitive to mileage when up for sale which
seems odd and on the face of it the discount for a car with
more than 50,000 miles seems to be a strange feature of the
market at present. As V8 engines are long lived and the RV8
bodywork has improved rust protection, which was certainly better
than that on the original MGBGTV8 models, the condition is usually
good. This RV8 has not been registered with the V8 Database
so we have no record of the car, its owner(s) or its history.
