says "this is a genuine Factory built chrome bumper MGBGTV8, manufactured
in 1974 with chassis number GD2D1 1479, originally Bracken but now finsihed in
Mineral Blue. It retains its original interior and correct Dunlop wheels. The
V8 engine has been upgraded with a ported Vitesse heads, piper 20 cam, and a Holley
390 carburettor. It has a 5 speed gearbox. It is an exhilarating drive, having
substantially more power than a standard car, and sounds fantastic. Mileage 67,821
(not warranted)". SWVA
| Comment: With
small production figures, the MGBGTV8 represents great value. This example has
been repainted in Mineral Blue, originally finished in Bracken, has it has an
upgraded engine with a Piper camshaft and Holley carburettor. The roof has a black
roof covering matching the sunshine roof with the addition of the rubber bumper
flashes behind the side windows. The engine bay shows signs of rust, the interior
seats look tired. It appears to be a Condition 2 car and at the estimated price
it looks attractive. |
