RV8
on offer with a 25% price uplift in two days
Following
our report on the sale of an RV8 at Barons' auction at Sandown Park on Tuesday
this week, Keith Belcher has spotted an RV8 is for sale online with a trader and
notes it has the same mileage and from a close examination of the photos it appears
to be the same car.
Barons at Sandown Park They held their classic
car auction at Sandown Park in Esher in Surrey on Tuesday 17th July 2018 and an
RV8 was up for sale. The catalogue said the RV8 "was reimported from Japan
in 2006 with 19,490 km (12,000 miles) from new by a UK RV8 specialist. The mileometer
now reads 6,000 miles since reimport, making it 18,000 miles from new,
with mileage history verifiable online from MOT testing reports". During
the auction of the car there were two enthusiastic bidders which drove the bids
up very rapidly from a starting bid of just £7,000 until the hammer went
down at £15,000. With a buyers premium of 10% plus VAT that was a
purchase cost of £16,800. Auction
