Collecting emails on the move
Using the Web2Mail service

Retrieving your emails using the Web-based remote email access using the convenient Web2Mail service
One web-based remote email access service is provided by the www.web2mail.com website which allows you to send and receive any POP emails over the Web. As most email accounts are of this type, this type of service in effect allows you to dispense with your usual email software such as Outlook Express so you can read and respond to your email wherever you are. When you open a Web2Mail account you are given 2MB of server space to store your emails. The service also enables you to have any Web page regularly delivered to your Inbox. The attractive feature of Web2Mail is that does not tie you to just the computer at home or in your office that contains your chosen email client. With Web2Mail you can send and receive emails from anywhere in the World that has an Internet connection.

Web2Mail is fast and easy to set up and above all, it is completely free. To use Web2Mail you first have to set up an account by registering an email address, username and password at www.web2mail.com website. You will also need your POP settings and password for your usual email account. To complete the process, click the sign up button on the welcome page on the Web2Mail website.

What do I need before I go online and try and set up an account with web2mail.com?

It's a two stage process - first setting up a web2mail.com account and then providing your email account information so you can access your email account with your ISP to send and receive emails.

Setting up a web2mail.com account
You will need to choose a username and a password to enable you to sign in each time you want to use the account. So work these out before you go online.

Accessing your email account via Web2Mail
You will need to hand your account name, the POP3 details and the password you use for your usual email account. Usually that information is already in your Outlook Express settings so you will probably not have looked them up for ages - so dig them out beforehand!

You need to log-in each time you use the Web2Mail service with your user name and password. Then click on Get Email link to gather your emails currently on the server of your POP account. You can then select the emails you want to download and read and those you wish to leave there or even delete. You can also reply to individual emails.
