V8 Season in Germany

Walter Kallenberg (Teal Blue 2131) has been in touch with news of his V8 in action in 2003. "In June last year we won an aerodrome race at Alhorner-Heide, near Bremen. It is a popular event and is organised by the MGCC Germany every year. It's a two day event over Saturday and Sunday. The entrance fee is very low and includes some very good food. If anyone from the V8 Register, or other parts of the Club in the UK, would like to participate you will be very welcome. I will be pleased to supply further information". Walter's contacts are below.

Walter and Brigitte Kallenberg attend every annual Internal MG Meeting at Silverstone organised by the MG Car Club, always arriving early to make sure the supplies of Hook Norton real ale are set up safely in the V8 Marquee! Walter has been a regular at Silverstone for over 25 years - who can forget the comforts of the large motorhome he used to come over in during those dreadfully wet years in the 1980s, and his delicious German sausages cooked to a turn on the V8 BBQ at Silverstone!

Well for 2004 Walter and Mike Maude-Roxby have hatched a plan to revive the V8 BBQ with supplies of his famous sausages. They will be washed down with the selection of real ales which proved popular with V8 enthusiasts at Silverstone last July - Hook Norton, Old Father Thames and Rebellion! Just to restore some balance to the evening, there will also be plenty of Stilton from Melton Mowbray to follow!

Walter and Brigitte Kallenberg are coming to the V8 Curry Night at Beaconsfield on Saturday 14th February 2004, so final plans for the "great German sausage V8 BBQ" can be finalised then.
