MGBGTV8 seen just outside Oslo
An MGBGTV8 heading west along the E18 out of Oslo the other day. It was a black RHD car with a folding sunshine roof and rubber bumpers. My son took this photo with his mobile phone so it is not a very good quality image. He cannot remember the registration plate but recalls it included BL or something very similar. So the British Leyland legacy still clings on it seems!

Does any member know of this car in the Oslo area?

Mystery of the MGBGTV8 on the E18 south of Oslo seems to have been solved
When Trond Jonassen from Solbergmoen in Norway registered his MGBGTV8 in October 2007, the V8 Registrar posted his details on the "Welcoming New Mmbers" webpage whereupon Angus Munro, an RV8 member working in Norway, made contact saying he once knew a Trond Jonassen when he had lived at one stage near Asker just south of Oslo. Angus made contact with Trond and found it was indeed the Trond Jonassen he had known some years ago. But that was not all, Angus also found it was Trond in the photo above on the E18 in his V8 (Brooklands Green 2747) - but yes it was a green and not black V8 as it had seemed from the mobile phone photograph sent in by my son. Trond has sent Angus a message in Norwegian most of which I can understand but I will need a little more time to translate it as my Norwegian, despite my evening classes, is still coming rather slowly! Angus is trying to encourage Trond to attend the V8 25th Anniversary in England in June 2008 although it is likely to be without his V8! - Report: Angus Munro/Victor Smith (14.11.07)
Mystery finally solved!
Halvor Asland has identified the mystery MGBGTV8 as the black Factory rubber bumper MGBGTV8 that belongs to Erik Habberstad who lives near Halvor at Vollen. (3.12.10)
