Maathuis fatally injured in a traffic accident

Kallenberg reports "I have the bad news to tell you that
Ton Maathuis, President of the Luxembourg MG Car Club since 1974,
has been killed in a traffic accident in his MG by an overturning
lorry! Fredry is seriously hurt. Ton and friends were on a trip
with their MGs in Italy where it happened yesterday, Thursday."
Jos Wantz from Luxembourg asked for this message to be passed
on.

Wantz of the MG Car Club Luxembourg has replied to a request for information
on the funeral arrangements as follows - "Just to tell you that
an official date for the funeral of Ton has not been published by the
family Maathuis. As soon as this happens, you will be informed in due
course!" (4.10.07)
