Private
sale - first rubber bumper Factory MGBGTV8
Teal Blue 2101, owned by the late Geoff Allen, has been
admired over the years by many V8 enthusiasts both for the colour,
which carries the black bumpers very well, and of course its
special feature - it is the first rubber bumpered car. Geoff
looked after this V8 with the particular knowledge and skill
acquired from his 27 years working in Rectifications Department
at the MG Factory and later when he ran his own MG service business
in Abingdon after the closure of the Factory. It has covered
around 90,000 miles and is in very good condition and has just
been fully serviced by Abingdon Car Restorations.
Jean Allen has always enjoyed driving MGV8s but feels it will
not get enough use now, so she has reluctantly decided it must
be sold. She would like it to go to a good home and be cherished
by someone who will really look after the car. It is now available
for viewing at the ACR workshops at Steventon not far from Abingdon.
