Blue 2101, the first rubber bumpered MGBGTV8, owned by the
late Geoff Allen is coming up for sale in May 2007. A number of
V8 enthusiasts have admired this car both for the colour, which
carries the black bumpers very well, and of course its special
feature - the first rubber bumpered car.
Geoff looked after this V8 with the particular knowledge and skill acquired from his 27 years working in Rectifications Department at the MG Factory and later when he ran his own MG service business in Abingdon after the closure of the Factory. Jean Allen has always enjoyed driving MGV8s but feels it will not get enough use now, so she has reluctantly decided it must be sold. She would like this famous MGBGTV8 to go to a good home and be cherished by someone who will really look after the car.
