disc caution

Supporting
your local Post Office by buying your RFL is commendable
but . . . beware of Post Offices that do not use a suitable
pen with which to write the vehicle details on the disc.
I have experienced a situation in which by the time the
disc is six months old the sun has faded away the details.
You are then at risk of having the disc stolen by a thief
who can then enter the details of his car. You may think
is OK to go over the details with your own pen, but could
this be seen as tampering with the disc? Because of this
situation I have, for some time, been using the local
DVLA office and have recently also used the very efficient
on-line system.
