RV8s on the Brooklands banking before the start of the Regency Run 2007

Two good looking MGBGTV8s on the Brooklands banking

Leaving Brooklands to start the run to Brighton - despite the wet conditions the pre-war MG enthusiasts braved the conditions with hoods down!

Ian Quarrington reports:
Some photos from Sunday’s Regency Run. The turn out was lower than last year and fewer still arrived at Brooklands probably due to the weather forecast. However there were eight MGBGTV8s, one V8 Roadster, one NGTCV8, one MGZTT and seven MGRV8 cars registered. I asked permission of those owners who were in their cars before I photographed them and the owner of the ZTT enquired about the V8 Register so I have given him the website address and the V8 Registrar's name. However I don’t know if he is a MG Car Club member.

The weather didn’t put seem to bother owners of much older MGs who did the whole run hood down! When it did stop raining the countryside was a joy to behold and as always it was worth the effort on arrival at Madeira Drive.

Next year is the 25th running of the rally so hopefully a bigger turn out and better weather will make it even more enjoyable. (16.5.07)
