New numberplate regulations
Numberplate changes on 1st November 2008
Robert Crowson has noted that time is running out for members who want numberplates without the name of the supplier at the bottom of the plate because from 1st November 2008 it will become an offence to sell or manufacture registration plates that do not conform to the latest British Standards and design criteria laid down by the DVLA. Consequently the ability to purchase numberplates displaying non-standard features will be outlawed.

Robert's supplier myshowplates.com has been in touch saying "with this date looming and Christmas fast approaching we wanted to give you as much notice as possible to enable you to place your orders and avoid any disappointment. As a result, they can only supply their Showplates until 30th October 2008. Here is a direct link to our website:

Note: the V8 Register-MG Car Club does not recommend or encourage the fitting of numberplates with non standard fonts or non standard spacing of the letters and numbers. This item is included merely as a source of clean period numberplates without the supplier's name as a footer.
