RV8 leather wallet with sales brochures provided
with the car on delivery to the first owner
Ian Quarrington has spotted one of these wallets offered for
sale on eBay and highlights the seller seems determined to secure
a price that some RV8 enthusiasts might feel is on the high
side.

Quarrington has spotted this item for sale on eBay
and says "an RV8 owner's handbook, Japanese
version, has just been sold on ebay for £102.
Those who read the listing carefully would not have
necessarily been interested in the handbook but
rather the leather bound wallet which came with
it. Each new RV8 included one of these |
wallets
on delivery to the first owner.
Currently listed (for about the third time) is another
of these leather wallets which includes all the
sales literature. This item is offered for sale
on a "make an offer" basis with a guide
price of £300. The last time it was listed
I contacted the seller and offered him £200
which he turned down."
The seller is an eBay trader (or Business Seller)
called Jason Rocke based in Shropshire trading at
motorfix8
who says on eBay he sells "parts & accessories,
diecast cars, wheels/tyres/trims, private number
plates, workwear & protection etc." The
range of items on his eBay shop is a broad mix which
includes a few RV8 items including wheels and the
leather wallet. |
