MGBGTV8 sold in less than 10 days
Dr David Catterick from Durham contacted us yesterday
to say he has bought the MGBGTV8 advertised on the
V8 Website by Paul Tebbett. It was a good looking,
low mileage example which had been owned for many
years by H Burridge in Dorset. The sale was achieved
in barely 10 days showing again that good MGV8s
sell well on the V8 website. |

contacted the V8 Webmaster a couple of weeks ago
seeking advice on getting an MGBGTV8 and had clearly
done his homework - he had bought a copy of our
buying guide "So you want to buy an MGV8?"
and had studied the advice and vehicle inspection
checklists available through the buyinganmg.com
website using our homepage link. He was a little
puzzled, as many of us were, by the strange bidding
for a Damask V8 on eBay and valued the advice
in our buying guide on checking the bodywork carefully
and taking particular care with cars with chrome
oversills. They can hide a great deal of trouble!

Private
sale - Factory MGBGTV8 in Bracken
Bracken 1152 (1974) with 87,000 miles with MOTs
back to 1991 at 64,000 miles. Extensive paperwork
is with the car and includes the Heritage certificate
and full four owner trace - which lists the first
owner with whom I have corresponded. Paintwork and
wheels are reasonable, the car is in generally very
good condition and drives extremely well. Interior
has a quality leather seat upgrade but the car is
otherwise pretty much "as Factory". Many
new parts/invoices in the last few years including
front discs and calipers, fuel tank, overdrive etc.
Includes handbook and spare keys. I bought this
car to keep and enjoy long-term but circumstances
have changed and it is, therefore, a reluctant sale.
