MGBGTV8
featured in Classic & Sports Car magazine
The August 2010 issue of Classic & Sports Car magazine had
an article by Alan McNaughton-Gisby who says "this car
is fantastic for long distance touring, but push it and you
can feel how rapidly technology has progressed" over the
years. His V8, Nightfire Red 2525, started life as a Tundra
V8 but looks splendid today in that popular RV8 colour, Nightfire
Red. More

Letters
of the month in Classic & Sports Car magazine
In the September 2010 issue, Fred Grisley
has a letter on page 43 headed "Monster
MGV8" in which he reflects fondly of
the Factory MGBGTV8 he had back in 1974. It
was subsequently heavily modified with a 0-60
mph capability of 5.8 seconds which he says
"traumatised Porsche 911 owners who were
left standing"! He ends his letter saying
"my RAF service as a fighter pilot excepted,
the old girl was, without a doubt, the greatest
fun I ever had with my clothes on!" |
