Scenic
Tour to the European Event of the Year 2013 in Aviemore
Participants
will be provided with a route which is almost 120 miles (192kms) mostly on old
military roads. We will travel from Scone Palace, about a mile north of Perth
via Blairgowrie, Glenshee Ski Centre, Braemar, Balmoral Castle, Ballater, Lecht
Ski Centre, Tomintoul and finally Aviemore.
There are hotels available,
in and around Perth ranging from comfortable to luxurious, depending on your requirements.
Participants will be expected to make their own accomodation arrangements.
Note:
This Scenic Tour is organised by fellow MG enthusiast Jim Henderson in a private
capacity and not as part of an event organised by either the Caledonian Centre
or V8 Register of the MG Car Club or by another MSA Affiliated Club

Scenic Tour is organised so that participants travelling to the event in
Aviemore have an alternative route to the main road, the A9, from Perth to Aviemore.
The start is at Scone Palace, which is about 1 mile from Perth.
The arrival
time at Scone Palace is between 9:00 and 10:30 am on Friday 16th August. We have
privileged access to the palace grounds after paying the discounted access fee.
It is also arranged that we can visit the palace the previous day, but keep the
entrance ticket for tour day. Scone Palace.
