Jim Dolbel, who is researching when the flares or eybrows on the front wheel arches of Japan spec RV8s ceased, will note 1224 has flares!

Al Barnett has spotted that at their first auction in 2013 at Buxton, H&H has a 6,600 mile Nightfire Red RV8 which sold for £19,980. Al adds "I don't think that includes the buyer's premium!" You can see the details on the H&H Auction website under their recent results section. Auction results
The RV8 was in fact Nightfire Red 1224, registered with the V8 Register by a longstanding Club member in Lancashire. H&H say it was built on 24th November 1994 and supplied new to Japan, and then repatriated by a Rover dealership in Uxbridge some three years later. Stated to have covered just 6,623 miles from new by its only UK registered keeper, he goes on to say that: "this is one of the lowest mileage RV8 cars to come to auction, if not the lowest, in the most attractive colour available, Nightfire Red."
