Targett on the front cover!
John Targett
has been a regular sight at events popular with fellow V8 enthusiasts
in the UK, like the annual V8 Curry Night, the MG Show at Stoneleigh,
MGLive! and the Goodwood Revival, with his frequent trips over
from Cleveland in the US. Here he highlights his MGB race car
is on the front cover of a magazine circulated in North America
which points to a clash of dates with the still provisional
date for MGLive! 2013.

Targett, a longstanding English V8 member with the
ex Philip Morgan MGBGTV8, lives in the US near Cleveland
Ohio and is a regular competitor in the US with
his well prepared MGB. He has been in touch to say
Bob DeShane, organiser of the VARAC 2013 CHGP, has
been in touch saying "I've asked our graphics
fellow to use a picture of you guys chasing each
other for our advert in the March issue of Classic
Motorsport."
John says "the advert of which Bob speaks will
be to promote the Vintage Festival at Mosport in
June 2013. If this idea is followed through, I do
hope that the Club's MGLive! 2013 Silverstone date
will move. After such publicity, I'd really have
to show up for this event over June 14th to 16th.
Walter Kallenberg (a longstanding V8 enthusiast
in Germany and frequent visitor to John's home in
Cleveland) knows Alan (the Famous Hairdresser!)
very well; Alan claims he's about to lap me in this
photo, but I don't recall the situation quite the
same way!" |
