Scenes from the 15th Goodwood Revival 2012

Amongst the V8 members seen during the day were Peter Kuruber (with his rare MG RV8 GT), Howard Gosling (MGBGTV8 and V8 Roadster), John Targett (over from the US for the event), Walter Kallenberg (over from Germany) and Mike Maude-Roxby. Breakfast at 8am in the Spitfire Cafe alongside the Goodwood Aeroclub building was an opportunity to meet up again.

Enthusiasts gathering at Goodwood for the 15th Revival meeting on Friday 14th September enjoyed an astonishing array of classic racing cars, sportscars and motor bikes from another era performing with full effort on the 2.38 mile Circuit. The weather was kind too with sunshine and a brisk north westerly wind after a light drizzle in the morning. See our photo report. More
Above: strolling through the saloon cars section of the Paddock we found Rowan Atkinson chatting with his mechanic alongside his 1952 Jaguar Mk VII he was racing over the weekend. In the Freddie March Spirit of Aviation display on the edge of the airfield we found a beautiful 1945 de Havilland 89A Dragon Rapide, a short-haul airliner resplendent in British European Airways colours.
