Bailey has forwarded a group photo of the six cars
from the Australian MG Car Club that left Nanhai
(near Beijing) three months ago travelling to the
UK. Their journey ends on Monday 19th at Longbridge.
They are due to arrive in Portsmouth on Friday 16th
July and the following morning they're leaving Southsea
for Abingdon. |
Their
route will have stops at the Bear & Ragged Staff
and the Swan Inn at Great Shefford near Newbury.
Peter Morgan is organising the run and he anticipates
that they will arrive at the Dog House at Frilford
near Abingdon at around 4.00pm. The Australian party
are staying there overnight. For the location of

V8 Gathering at the Boundary
House pub at 1.00pm on Saturday 17th July
may like to drive the old test route used by the
Factory for the MGBGTV8 model and meet the Australian
group at the Dog House in the afternoon.
The following day, Sunday 18th July, the
Club is holding a meeting in the Market Square in
Abingdon and at Rye Farm Meadow to welcome the Australian
