The
DVLA issued a warning to the public today of an
email scam that asks drivers to verify their driving
licence details via an online link. The email, which
wrongly claims to have been sent from the DVLA,
appears to be an attempt to trick drivers into providing
personal details.
The Corporate Affairs Director at the DVLA, David
Evans, said:
"We are aware that some members of the public
have received these emails and can confirm that
they do not come from the DVLA. We would strongly
urge anyone in receipt of this or a similar email
to treat it with extreme caution and not to follow
the instructions given."
Do not click the link! - it will take you
to a website called topindiangamer.com where you
will asked to input personal details the scammer
will then harvest for the miserable uses these scumbags
profit from.
A domain search for that name shows it is registered
by a registrant in Luxembourg who states no mail
should be sent to the registered address! |
