MG Car Club d' Italia held an exciting event in September 2007 which attraced many MG enthusiasts. It was a special event which provided a taste of everything Italian, starting in Turin, proceeding through some Alpine Passes, around the shores of Lakes Como and Garda, in the towns of Brescia and Verona, and finally the usual relaxation and tours based in Gabicce Mare on the Adriatic Sea.

The programme was originally designed for those members owning an MGF/TF but after so many

requests from owners of other models, the organisers decided to open the event to all MGs.

The first day was dedicated to Turin, in honour of the "Italian Job" film. The tour started from the famous track on the roof of the FIAT Lingotto factory, built in the early 1920s. All cars which were assembled in the factory below, were tested there before being delivered to dealers. It was a very rare opportunity to visit this track!

On the Sunday and Monday there were touring sections in the mountains which V8 powered MGs coped with very well.
