MG
Car Club d' Italia has an exciting event in September 2007 which will
attract V8 enthusiasts who enjoy Italy. It is a special event which
will give a taste of everything Italian, starting in Turin, proceeding
through some Alpine Passes, around the shores of Lakes Como and Garda,
in the towns of Brescia and Verona, and finally the usual relaxation
and tours based in Gabicce Mare on the Adriatic Sea.
The programme was originally designed for those members owning an
MGF/TF but after so many requests from owners of other models, the
organisers have decided to open the event to all MGs.
However on the Sunday and Monday they draw your attention to the distances
involved, both at speed and in the mountains, as there is a risk of
overheating for older cars. This means we recommend that the event
is more suited to post war MGs from MGAs to the MGTFs, but it is for
individual owners to decide on the suitability of their own particular
MG. V8 powered MGs should cope with these conditions very well.
Full details of the event and how to join are available using the

The
first day will be dedicated to Turin, in honour of the "Italian
Job" film. The tour will start from the famous track on the
roof of the FIAT Lingotto factory, built in the early 1920s. All
cars which were assembled in the factory below, were tested there
before being delivered to dealers. The track is available for
not less than 20 cars. This is a very rare opportunity to visit
this track!
