The Royal Bengal recently celebrated its 30th year since opening
its doors at Bridge Street in Northampton, making it the town's
longest established Indian restaurant. The Royal Bengal has
stood the test of time by catering for customers and their families
over three decades as a family-run restaurant serving a variety
of authentic dishes.
The Royal Bengal was started by Abdul Rohim in1975 at 38 Bridge
Street. His son Mohammed Ahmin, who now runs the business with
him, said "At number 38 there were only about 40 seats
and a counter. We just outgrew the premises, so in 1983 we moved
across the road and have been there ever since. It is twice
as big with 100 seats and a bar where 30 people can have a drink
before their meal, or a coffee afterwards". |

please do let Tony Lake know as early as possible so others

The
Royal Bengal
The restaurant layout will enable members to mingle
and chat to folk on other tables. The Royal Bengal has
been booked for 6.45pm for dinner at 7.00pm prompt.
Party menu available this year
There will be a set party menu offering a selection
of mixed dishes at a special price of £20.00.
The advantage of the party menu is the restaurant will
be able to prepare the dishes for our large party so
we should have a prompter service. On a Saturday evening
in a popular restaurant in Northampton that is likely
to a worthwhile benefit. See the party
menu
Drinks policy - cash bar
Please note to avoid possible confusion with unidentified
unpaid drinks bills at the end of the evening, all members
attending the V8 Curry 2011 must pay for their drinks
as they are ordered. No drinks tabs please.
Special dietary needs
If any member has a specific dietary requirement the
restaurant can cope with this given advanced warning.
Please note any dietary needs on the booking
form.
