Charging Zone in London is extending west from Monday 19th February 2007!
 The charging hours will be shortened to 7.00am to 6.00pm Monday to Friday and the daily charge is £8 if you pay in advance or £10 if you "pay next day". How can you pay? You can pay the charge online at www.cclondon.com or by mobile phone text mesage or by telephone or using self-service machines or at selected retail outlets and petrol stations.  The Congestion Charging western extension will be in operation from Monday 19th February 2007 covering an area west of Park Lane and Vauxhaul Bridge Road taking in areas including Notting Hill, Bayswater, Kensington, Chelsea, Victoria and Pimlico. The original zone covering the West End, mid-town areas like Holborn and Fleet Street, and the City of London will still apply. There are a few routes through the zone that will enable vehicles to cross the zone during charging hours without paying - the Westway from the A40 (M40) and a north/south route from Edgware Road via Park Lane and Vauxhall Bridge Road.
