Motorcycles
and Scooters
Traditionally, motorcycles and scooters have parked on the common
in an area referred to as the Baa Lambs. The police have insisted
that for safety reasons this area should be fenced to prevent two-wheel
vehicles getting onto the common over the kerb and pavement. This
year all two-wheel vehicles will have to enter via the main arena
entrance opposite the Silver Cup public house and from there will
be directed to the Baa Lambs area. In 2009 only, a concessionary minimum
entrance fee of £3 will be applied to two-wheel vehicles.
