V8
Online Auction Rules
.
Bidding process
Before you can post a bid you will need to register as a bidder ("Bidder")
and to do this you will need to complete an online registration form
providing the essential contact information and certain MGV8 vehicle
data. Online registration form
When you click the SEND button at the foot of that registration form,
that registration data is sent automatically to the V8 Webmaster.
You will get an automatic response with your personal bidding code
("Personal Bidding Code") which you will need to make bids.
You will need to make a copy of that webpage
and keep it for future reference.
Only bids quoting a valid Personal Bidding Code will be accepted.
Any bids without a valid code or with a false code will be removed
from the V8 Bulletin Board by the V8 Webmaster.
All bids for an item up for auction on the V8 Register website shall
each be posted as a message on the V8 Bulletin Board which can be
accessed directly using the rollover link alongside or on the V8 Register
Website. Al bids posted on the V8 Bulletin Board shall contain the
information indicated in the bid format set out in the panel alongside
("Bid Format").
The start date and time for bids will be announced by the V8 Webmaster
on the V8 Bulletin Board. That announcement will state the starting
date and time ("Stating Date and Time") and the closing
date and time for bids ("Closing Date and Time"). All times
posted shall be GMT. A registered Bidder may post as many bids as
they wish within this period.
The price must be expressed in Pounds Sterling (GBP). That Bid Price
will not include any post and packaging or other costs and taxes associated
with delivering the item to the successful Bidder. Those costs will
have to be paid by the successful Bidder in addition to their final
Bid price. The person selling the item at auction will not add VAT
to the bid price as the sale is not liable to VAT.
Personal Bidding Code
Following your registration as a Bidder, you will receive an automatic
response with a Personal Bidding Code. How you use that code will
be explained in that response but the essential feature is the
code will change each day you bid. The changes you will have to
make will be changes made using the instructions in that response.
Without that safeguard other users of the V8 Bulletin Board would
be able to place bids using any code disclosed by earlier Bidders
and hence create chaos.
Adjudication
of bids
Following the Closing Date and Time for bids the V8 Webmaster will
pass the name and contact details of the Bidder who has posted the
highest bid.

Force
Majeure
Sadly we are aware that spammers and other miserable individuals are
seeking ways of interfering with websites like ours, so should the
operation of the V8 Online Auction be disrupted by any activities
of those people, the V8 Online Auction may need to be suspended. In
that case the V8 Webmaster and/or the seller of the item at auction
will endeavour to contact Bidders by telephone or directly by email
so that suitable arrangements may be made to continue the auction.
We have specifically not asked Bidders to post email addresses on
the V8 Bulletin Board or other registration information because we
are aware spammers and their associates scavenge websites for email
addresses and thereafter plague you with offensive and unwanted spam
emails, many of which have virus infected attachments.

any of the terms and conditions of this V8 Online Bid at his sole

V8 Register committee, the MG Car Club and its directors and officers
cannot accept any liability or claim in connection with or arising

part of any V8 Online Auction. These V8 Online Auction rules shall
