Working V8 in Chartreuse - a rare colour

Chartreuse 2872 is a fine example of a V8 in daily use maintained by an enthusiast

Mike Anderson's MGBGTV8 is finished in Chartreuse, a relatively rare colour as only nineteen later rubber bumpered V8s were finished in that colour with a black interior trim. Mike says his V8 "is used as my daily driver and, whilst not in mint condition, it is a great machine! There are no modifications except I have fitted a manual switch for the twin cooling fans because on a couple of occasions the Otter switch gave up the ghost".

Geoff Allen, the V8 Historian and Archivist, comments "I have checked on OKE 485 P and had no record of this registration number, but do know it was registered at Maidstone. In fact two Chartreuse V8s were invoiced to agents in Dartford both of which are now on the V8 Register".

It is good to see a V8 used on a daily basis and looking so well cared for. This set of photos was supplied by Mike Anderson who took the opportunity of a sunny day a few weeks ago to take a few digital photos.
