me more about the V8 Saunter in the Shires 2007?
Join the V8 Register for its annual weekend tour based this year in
Northamptonshire. Stay at the Aviator Hotel in Sywell, an Art Deco
building that was the Clubhouse and Officers' mess in the thirties,
located beside the grass airfield. Dine in the Cirrus room overlooking
the landing strip.
Arrive Friday afternoon, take a peek at the airfield museum,
pick up the route books, have a buffet dinner, and swap stories with
old friends.
Spend Saturday morning on a gentle jaunt to Olney in Buckinghamshire,
browse in the antique shops, do some shopping. After lunch make your
way to Bletchley Park where the Enigma cyphers were cracked during
WW11, see the Colossus computer after its reconstruction, then back
to Sywell for dinner.
On Sunday a rural run via Southam for coffee, then on to Ingon
Manor golf club in Warwickshire for lunch followed by a visit to the
Heritage Museum at Gaydon. In mid 2007 a £1.1m refit will be
complete, so after a look round there will be just enough time to
fit in the obligatory cream tea.
On Monday visit the Icarus Falconry to see birds of prey go
through their paces. The Falconry is located in the grounds of Holdenby
House the largest private house in Elizabethan England.
All this for £399 per couple and £299 single.
