 Silverstone-MG80
proved to be wonderful yet again with a full racing programme on
both days and much more including members' 20 minute track laps
sessions on Sunday morning. The weather was kind with a beautifully
sunny and fresh day on Saturday and only a few local light rain
showers during Sunday. The dedicated V8 parking area alongside the
V8 Marquee was in a new location between the foot of the two bridges
over the Club Straight. It proved a popular spot for over 100 V8s
parked up alongside the V8 Marquee on Saturday. Supper at the Star Inn in Sulgrave bathed in evening
sunshine on Friday evening - a popular start to the weekend. ((Photo:

 An informal
V8 BBQ was organised by Walter Kallenberg and John Targett on
Saturday evening with ample supplies of Walter's own sausages together
with some really tasty sausages from Sussex and Lincolnshire. The
V8 AGM at the V8 Marquee saw two new committee members elected
to the team of eight! Al Barnett has taken on planning and
coordinating V8 Events now he is back in the UK, and Mike Russell
has taken on V8 Regalia. David Biddle has volunteered to
run the V8 Curry again in February 2005. Full details of the V8
Committee and Team contacts are on the V8 Website together
              with a longer report
              on Silverstone-MG80. |
