What would
you say if an RV8 had been found with only 31 miles on the clock?
Well Fred Jenns reports he has found and acquired what must be the
most exceptional RV8 available today.

Woodcote Green 1821 was bought new in Japan back in the 1990s
and immediately joined the owner's collection of around a hundred
fine cars. It was registered, but not until 2001. This car had completed
only 46 kilometres when we examined it this week. This figure had
risen to 49 kilometres by the end of our road test. Yes, this is
not a misprint - I do mean approximately 31 miles since the car
was built. I think that this may be the definitive RV8 extant
outside a museum. To make matters even more alluring, this car has
been fitted with a Factory hardtop since day one.

We also acquired another exceptional RV8 this week - Oxford Blue
1756 - which is a superb car and quite in line with its total
recorded mileage of only 3,200km. A two thousand mile Oxford Blue
car deserves a loving home! The two RV8s will be shipped to UK in
a container - this is how we reimport all our RV8s - but this will
not happen until the New Year.
Fred Jenns, never shy in promoting his cars, then adds "I
would welcome any serious buyers of either car to contact me, particularly
with Woodcote Green 1821, as I feel that the new owner should have
complete involvement in how this car is handled at all stages. I
have already arranged that this car is moved by truck when the time
comes to deliver it to the container base in Japan, and have planned
that when it gets back to the UK, instead of being transported by
open truck from Felixstowe to our base, we should have covered or
"race box" transport".
Fred has sent a couple of shots of this car but apologises for the
relatively poor quality of the photos. He will have better photos
"but not until the cars are down at the container base....
you don't take a 30 mile car out in the rain just to take pretty
pictures!".
