RV8s with fine weather in Brittany

Three RV8s at the quayside in Brittany
at the beginning of this month. Quite a line up with the 100 MGR, 200 MGR and 300 MGR plates.

Mike Lane from Hampshire mentions "my RV8 boiled over an the way back to the ferry and I received some very kind help from an ex-pat! This chap is an engineer (he's not running a garage) and has a good workshop with a trolley jack and would be pleased to
help any other MG member in trouble in the area. Mike is writing an article on this for the four page V8 Newsletter due to be published in the December 2007 issue of Safety Fast!"

Four RV8s on tour in Brittany with Gordon and Hilary Coles, Derek and Debbie Squires, Niall and Susan FitzGerald, and Mike Lane and Jackie Tasker taken at Cap Frehel in Brittany. Four of the cars in the tour party of twenty cars were RV8s 4 RV8s – "not bad going!!" comments Derek Squires (Woodcote Green 1262) from Hampshire.

Derek adds "
Debbie and I stayed on in France when the others returned, and drove across to Arras, Cambrai, Bouillon-sur-Semois in the Belgian Ardennes (with a half-day in Luxembourg), and then had a couple of days with friends in Waterloo. Ten days of sunshine in October, with the roof down! The RV8s created a lot of interest wherever we went, and we met a car club in Waterloo about to set off on a Sunday drive, who had an MGA and two Midgets on their run – naturally we stopped and made contact!"
